Accident Summary
The pilot reported that during the final approach to the runway, the airplane experienced an aerodynamic stall approximately 10 feet above the runway surface. This resulted in a hard landing. Subsequently, the airplane veered to the right, exited the runway, and collided with trees.
Pilot Report
The pilot stated that there were no preimpact mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airframe or engine that would have precluded normal operation. The stall occurred during the approach phase of flight.
Damage
The airplane sustained substantial damage to the wings and fuselage as a result of the hard landing and subsequent impact with trees.
