What happened
On July 25, 2015, at 1745 UTC, a Bede BD-5G amateur-built airplane, registered EI-DNN, was involved in a fatal accident near Garranbane, Ireland. The aircraft was performing a flight from Waterford Airport (EIWF) to Shannon Airport (EINN) when the pilot was forced to perform a landing.
Following the impact, a post-impact fire occurred, which destroyed the aircraft. The pilot, who was the sole occupant of the aircraft, sustained 1 fatal injury.
