What happened
On August 14, 2015, at approximately 1055 UTC, a Robinson R44 with registration RA-04339 crashed in the Sakha Republic, Russian Federation. The helicopter had departed from a mountainous landing area under Russian flight regulations.
During the initial phase of flight, the helicopter began a left turn and struck a light pole measuring approximately 6 meters in height. Following the collision with the pole, the aircraft impacted the ground and rolled onto its right side. A fire occurred after the impact.
The accident resulted in 1 fatality and 2 injuries to the passengers.
