Incident Notification
On October 3, 2015, an incident involving a Beechcraft B200 aircraft occurred. The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) of the United Kingdom notified the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of this incident.
Investigation Coordination
In accordance with ICAO Annex 13, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the AAIB investigation. The United States is the state of manufacturer and design of the Beech B200, warranting NTSB participation. The AAIB will lead the investigation and release all investigative information.
The appointment of a U.S. Accredited Representative facilitates cooperation between the two agencies, allowing the NTSB to provide technical support and access to manufacturer records as needed. The AAIB retains primary responsibility for the investigation and will publish any findings.
