The Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation (EMCA) has notified the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an accident involving an Airbus A320 aircraft, equipped with IAE V2500 engines, that occurred on May 19, 2016.
Investigation
Under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, the NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the EMCA's investigation. The U.S. Accredited Representative is designated because the United States is the State of Manufacturer and Design of the engine.
