Accident Details
On June 4, 2016, at approximately 1500 Coordinated Universal Time, a Wag-Aero Super Tri-Pacer airplane, registered as CGSMJ, impacted terrain near Williston Lake, British Columbia, Canada, under unknown circumstances. The pilot and a passenger aboard the aircraft sustained fatal injuries.
Investigation
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) is leading the investigation into the accident. As the State of Manufacture of the airplane and its engine, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of the United States has appointed a U.S. accredited representative to provide assistance to the TSB. The investigation is ongoing.
