What happened
On July 31, 2016, at 23:57 UTC, an Embraer EMB820C (Piper PA-31-350), registered as PT-EFQ, was on approach to Londrina Airport in Londrina City, Brazil. During the approach, the aircraft experienced a loss of power in the left engine. Following this engine failure, the aircraft struck a power line and impacted the terrain.
The flight had departed from Marechal Rondon International Airport in Cuiaba, Brazil. The accident resulted in 8 fatal injuries, involving two foreign certificated pilots and six passengers.
