On September 1, 2016, at approximately 1905 coordinated universal time, a privately owned Air Tractor AT-502B, registered as PR-SLV, experienced an in-flight loss of control and subsequently impacted terrain near Sorriso Municipality in the State of Mato Grosso, Brazil. The aircraft was destroyed by the impact and a postcrash fire. The pilot and passenger sustained fatal injuries.
