On October 2, 2016, at 1438 UTC, a North American P-51D, registration G-MSTG, struck an open field near Hardwick Airfield in East Anglia, United Kingdom. The aircraft was performing a go-around when the impact occurred. At the time of the accident, visual meteorological conditions were in effect.
