What happened
On November 24, 2016, at approximately 2040 UTC, an Embraer EMB-710C, registered as PT-NCJ, struck terrain during an approach to an unregistered landing strip. The accident occurred in a quarry located near Novo Progresso, in the State of Para, Brazil.
The aircraft had departed from another unregistered landing strip situated in a mining area near Itaituba, State of Para, Brazil. The impact resulted in 4 fatalities and 3 serious injuries. The occupants included the pilot and four passengers.
