What happened
On December 4, 2016, at approximately 12:30 UTC, a midair collision occurred near Husbands Bosport, Leicestershire, United Kingdom, involving a PZL Bielsko SZD-51-1 glider, registration G-CSFT, and a Cessna 150L airplane, registration G-CSFC.
Following the collision, the glider impacted the terrain, resulting in 1 fatality for the pilot. The airplane sustained substantial damage during the encounter and subsequently landed at a nearby airport.
