Witnesses reported that the aircraft experienced a loss of engine power during the initial climb. Following the power loss, the airplane lost altitude and struck trees before impacting the terrain in a wooded area east of the airport. The impact left the aircraft inverted and destroyed.

There were 6 fatal injuries resulting from the accident. While one passenger initially survived the impact, they later passed away in the hospital.
