Accident
On February 7, 2017, at approximately 1253 local time, a United States-registered MD 600N helicopter, bearing registration N245SE, impacted terrain at La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City, Guatemala. The pilot and three passengers on board sustained fatal injuries.
Investigation
The investigation into the accident has been undertaken by the Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil of Guatemala, which is the authority responsible for aviation safety within the country. As of the release of the initial report, the investigation remains under the jurisdiction of the Government of Guatemala.
