Accident Details
On March 13, 2017, at approximately 1600 Pacific daylight time, an MD Helicopters model 369FF single-engine helicopter, serial number 0079FF, with Mexican registration XC-PEP, collided with high-voltage power lines while maneuvering near Mexicali, Mexico. The aircraft was on a local flight that had departed from General Rodolfo Sánchez Taboada International Airport (MMML), located near Mexicali.
Occupants and Fatalities
The helicopter was occupied by the pilot and four passengers. All five occupants sustained fatal injuries.
