What happened
On May 26, 2017, at approximately 1200 UTC, a Cessna 172M, registered as UR-WTA, was involved in an accident near Chernihiv, Ukraine. The aircraft had departed from the Pivtsi Airport and, during the takeoff phase, impacted a one-story building. The collision resulted in 1 fatality for the pilot. The flight was being operated under Ukrainian flight regulations.
The investigation
The investigation into the accident was conducted under the jurisdiction of the National Bureau for Incidents and Accidents Investigation of Civil Aircraft (NBAAI) of Ukraine.
