Incident
On June 10, 2017, at approximately 1255 Taipei local time (0455 UTC), a Bell 206B3 helicopter registered in Taiwan as B-31118 and operated by Emerald Pacific Airlines crashed under unknown circumstances. The accident occurred in remote mountainous terrain about 8 miles south of Fengbin, Hualien County. The flight was conducting aerial photography operations at the time of the accident.
Damage and Casualties
The helicopter was destroyed in the impact. The pilot and two passengers received fatal injuries.
Investigation
The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Government of Taiwan, specifically the Taiwan Aviation Safety Council (ASC).
