What happened
On June 10, 2017, at approximately 12:55 Taipei local time, a Bell 206B3 helicopter, registration B-31118, crashed into remote mountains. The aircraft, operated by Emerald Pacific Airlines, was flying approximately 8 miles south of Fengbin, Hualien County, for the purpose of conducting aerial photography operations.
The impact with the terrain resulted in the destruction of the helicopter and 3 fatal injuries to the pilot and two passengers.
