What happened
On June 13, 2017, at approximately 1810 local time, a Bell 214B helicopter, registration HL9157, crashed into remote mountainous terrain near Dongducheon, Republic of Korea. The aircraft, operated by UB Air, was performing an external load operation and was in the process of approaching a drop zone when the impact occurred.
The helicopter sustained substantial damage during the accident. The two pilots on board sustained 2 serious injuries, and there were 0 fatalities.
