What happened
On June 20, 2017, at approximately 0920 UTC, a Kolb Firefly ultralight aircraft, registered G-CEPN, struck the ground near Newell Lane in Luffenhall, Hertfordshire, England. The flight occurred under Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC). The pilot, who was the only person on board, sustained 1 fatal injury. The impact with the terrain resulted in the destruction of the aircraft.
