Accident Details
On August 4, 2017, at 0720 UTC, a Piper PA-28-181, registered as HB-PER, crashed into mountainous terrain near Berghaus Diavolezza, Switzerland. The aircraft was owned and operated by a private individual and was conducting a non-scheduled local flight. It had departed from Samedan, Switzerland, at approximately 0710 UTC. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident.
Injuries and Damage
The pilot and two passengers on board suffered fatal injuries. A third passenger received serious injuries. The aircraft sustained substantial damage in the impact.
