What happened
On October 17, 2017, at approximately 1540 UTC, an amphibious Cessna 208, registered as PR-MPE, was involved in an accident in Novo Airao county, Amazonas, Brazil. The aircraft departed from Manaus/Eduardo Gomes International Airport (SBEG) and was attempting to land on a river when it came to rest in an inverted position.
The accident resulted in 1 fatality and 4 minor injuries. The occupants included the pilot and three passengers.
