Accident Details
On January 19, 2018, at approximately 0930 UTC, a Zodiac 601XL, Spanish registry EC-XKM, impacted mountainous terrain in the municipality of La Pobla de Benifassa, Castellon, Spain. The aircraft was owned and operated by a private individual. A postimpact fire ensued.
Injuries and Damage
The pilot was fatally injured and the passenger on board was seriously injured. The airplane was destroyed.
