What happened

On January 14, 2018, at approximately 1413 UTC, a Sikorsky S-92A, registration G-CHHF, was performing a landing at Scatsta Airport in Shetland, United Kingdom. During the approach to the airport, the nose landing gear failed to extend.

While the helicopter was in a hover, a ground engineer was able to manually lower the nose landing gear, which had been positioned askew within the landing gear well. There were no injuries to the pilot, the copilot, or the nineteen passengers on board.
