What happened
On June 5, 2018, at approximately 1705 local time, a Cessna 208, registration 5Y-CAC, collided with a mountain in the Aberdare mountain range near Njably, Kenya.
The aircraft, owned and operated by East African Safari Air Express, had departed from Kitale Airport at approximately 1605 local time. The flight was destined for Nairobi-Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Kenya.
The accident resulted in 10 fatal injuries, involving the two pilots and eight passengers. The aircraft was destroyed in the collision.
