The airplane then slid approximately 25 feet along the airstrip before coming to a stop.
Aircraft Damage
The airplane sustained substantial damage to the engine mounts as a result of the incident. No other damage was reported in the source.
Pilot Report
The pilot stated that there were no mechanical malfunctions or failures with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation. The pilot attributed the accident to coming in too low during the approach, leading to the collision with the dock.
