What happened
Following the event, the United Kingdom's Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) notified the NTSB of the accident. Due to the involvement of aircraft components manufactured in the United States, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the AAIB investigation in accordance with ICAO Annex 13.
