Accident Overview
On July 26, 2019, at approximately 1100 Pacific Daylight Time, a Cessna 208 airplane, Canadian registration C-GURL, was destroyed when it collided with terrain in the vicinity of Addenbroke Island, British Columbia, Canada. The circumstances leading to the collision remain unknown.
Flight Details
The aircraft, owned and operated by Seair Seaplanes Ltd., had departed Vancouver International Water Airport (CAM9) in Vancouver, British Columbia. Its destination was a remote lodge located about 29 nautical miles southeast of Campbell Island Airport (CBBC) in Bella Bella, British Columbia.
Occupant Injuries
Of the nine people on board, the pilot and three passengers sustained fatal injuries. The remaining five passengers were seriously injured.
Investigation
