What happened
On August 23, 2019, at approximately 1905 UTC, an amateur-built Capella XS, bearing registration EC-YTA, crashed into terrain near San Juan del Puerto, Spain. During the flight, a wing separated from the aircraft, leading to the impact. The accident resulted in 1 fatality for the pilot. The aircraft sustained substantial damage.
