What happened
On August 29, 2019, an Air Tractor AT-502B, registration P2-SET, operated by Ramu Agriculture Industries, was involved in an accident near Gusap, Papua New Guinea. During the flight, the aircraft collided with a tree. The impact resulted in 1 fatality and the total destruction of the airplane.
The investigation
The Papua New Guinea Accident Investigation Commission (AIC) is conducting the investigation into the crash. The NTSB has appointed a US accredited representative to assist the PNG AIC, acting in its capacity as the state of manufacture for the aircraft.
