Incident Overview
On October 6, 2019, at approximately 0750 coordinated universal time, a Cessna 172 aircraft, registration VT-RGF, impacted terrain near Sultanpur, India. The aircraft was operated under the civil regulations of the Government of India. Prior to the accident, the pilot had requested to turn back due to bad weather conditions.
Occupants and Damage
The aircraft was occupied by a student pilot and a passenger. Both occupants sustained fatal injuries, and the airplane was destroyed.
