What happened
On October 6, 2019, at approximately 0750 UTC, a Cessna 172, registration VT-RGF, crashed near Sultanpur, India. The flight was being conducted by a student pilot accompanied by one passenger. Prior to the accident, the pilot had requested permission to turn back because of bad weather conditions. During the maneuver, the aircraft impacted the terrain. The accident resulted in 2 fatalities; the student pilot and the passenger were both killed, and the aircraft was destroyed.
