Accident Overview
A flight instructor reported that during a landing roll, a student pilot was handling the controls of a tailwheel-equipped airplane. The student's right foot slipped off the right pedal and became trapped between the pedal and the fuselage frame. Consequently, the airplane veered to the right. The instructor attempted to correct the deviation by applying left pedal, but the airplane continued its rightward path, departed the runway, struck a ditch, and impacted terrain.
