Incident Overview
On October 29, 2019, an accident involving an ICP Ventura ultralight aircraft occurred within the jurisdiction of Turkey. The event was formally reported to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) by the government of Turkey.
International Cooperation
In accordance with international aviation safety protocols, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to support the ongoing inquiry. This appointment was made under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, which governs the cooperation between states in accident investigations involving foreign-registered or foreign-manufactured aircraft.
Information Release
The government of Turkey retains primary responsibility for the investigation and has stated that all investigative information will be released by their authorities. The NTSB's role is limited to providing technical assistance through its accredited representative.
