What happened

On February 26, 2020, an Airbus A321-211 operated by Titan Airways Ltd departed from London Gatwick Airport (LGW). During the initial climb, the aircraft's left (No. 1) engine, a CFM International CFM56-5B3/3, experienced a surge. Following this event, the crew received an ECAM alert indicating a stall condition on the right (No. 2) engine. The crew subsequently returned the aircraft, G-POWN, to London Gatwick, where it completed an uneventful landing.
