Accident
A pilot flying a floatplane performed several water touch-and-go landings on different lakes. After completing one such landing, he decided to perform one more before returning to the destination airport. During the landing, the airplane banked to the right. The right float made contact with the water, and the airplane veered sharply to the right. It then struck the bank of the lake.
Damage
The impact with the bank resulted in substantial damage to the fuselage. The airplane came to rest on the bank. The pilot reported no preimpact mechanical malfunctions or failures that would have precluded normal operation.
Aftermath
The pilot and passenger egressed from the aircraft without issue. No injuries were reported. The cause of the accident has not been determined.
