What happened
On February 16, 2025, at approximately 1445 mountain standard time, a Cessna T210R, registration N105DF, was involved in an accident near Flagstaff, Arizona. The aircraft was operating as a Part 91 repositioning flight from Sun Valley Airport (A20) in Bullhead City, Arizona, with an intended destination of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
While cruising at 11,500 feet MSL, the pilot observed the oil pressure indication drop, though other engine instruments remained within normal parameters. Following this indication, the pilot diverted to Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (FLG). Shortly after the diversion began, the engine suffered a total loss of power.
The pilot performed a forced landing into an open area of level, snow-covered terrain. During the landing sequence, the aircraft struck a barbed wire fence, causing substantial damage to the left elevator and both horizontal stabilizers. The pilot and passenger were not injured.
