Delta Connection Flight 4819 was a scheduled international passenger flight from Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport in the United States to Toronto Pearson International Airport in Canada. The aircraft was a Bombardier CRJ900 regional jet operated by Endeavor Air, a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines.
Accident
On February 17, 2025, during landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport, the aircraft experienced a hard landing that caused a landing gear component to fracture. This led to the collapse of the landing gear and the aircraft overturning on the runway.
Occupants and Injuries
The flight carried 80 individuals: 76 passengers and 4 crew members. All occupants survived the accident. Twenty-one people sustained injuries. The aircraft was considered a hull loss.
Investigation
The preliminary investigation determined that the hard landing resulted in a fractured landing gear component, which subsequently caused the landing gear to collapse and the aircraft to overturn. Further investigation into the accident is ongoing.
