What happened
On November 7, 2025, at 13:31 Pacific standard time, an experimental amateur-built ICP Savannah amphibious airplane, N358D, was involved in an accident near Pacific, Washington. The aircraft was being operated under 14 CFR Part 91 for personal flight.
While the aircraft was in cruise flight, the propeller separated from the engine. Upon realizing that the destination airport could not be reached via gliding, the pilot selected a grassy field for a forced landing. During the landing, the wheels and floats sank into the soft grass, causing the airplane to nose over and come to rest in an inverted position.
There were no injuries to the pilot or the passenger. The accident resulted in substantial damage to the airplane's wings and fuselage.
