What happened
On November 12, 2025, at approximately 14:10 CST, a collision occurred at Muscatine Regional Airport (MUT) in Muscatine, Iowa, involving a Cessna TU206F, registration N37EW, and a Hawker Beechcraft Corp B300, registration N545KA.
The pilot of the N37EW reported that he visually cleared runway 06/24 of traffic before crossing. He stated he made a radio call on the common traffic advisory frequency to announce his crossing of the runway at taxiway Bravo, and noted he did not hear any transmissions from the B300 prior to the event.
The pilot of the B300 was performing a simulated single-engine approach for the ILS runway 24. He reported making radio calls on the common traffic advisory frequency after passing the final approach fix and again on short final to runway 24. During the landing roll, the pilot observed an aircraft taxiing across the runway from left to right and attempted to avoid the collision by veering to the left.
The B300's right wing struck the empennage of the TU206F at the intersection of runway 24 and taxiway Bravo. Both aircraft sustained substantial damage.
There were no injuries to the pilot and passenger of the TU206F, nor to the pilot, check airman, or FAA observer aboard the B300.
