What happened

On 6 August 2021, a Beechcraft A100 King Air, operated by Thunder Airlines, was performing a scheduled flight from Timmins Victor M. Power Airport, Ontario, to Moosonee Airport, Ontario. During the arrival, the flight crew initially attempted to land on Runway 06, but this first approach was unsuccessful. The crew subsequently transitioned to a second approach targeting Runway 24.

Upon touchdown on the runway, the aircraft failed to stop within the designated runway limits. The plane continued traveling along the pavement and eventually came to a halt approximately 50 feet beyond the threshold of Runway 06. At the time of the landing, weather conditions in the area were characterized by heavy rain.
