What happened
On 13 February 2026, an AS 350 B2 helicopter, registered as part of the High Terrain Helicopters Ltd fleet, struck terrain during a flight in British Columbia. The incident occurred roughly 10 nautical miles north-north of the Nelson Airport. Following the impact, search and rescue teams located and recovered the two occupants from the aircraft. Both individuals sustained injuries during the accident.
The investigation
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) initiated a Class 3 investigation to analyze the safety issues surrounding this occurrence. Investigators are working to determine the specific circumstances that led to the aircraft making contact with the ground.
