What happened
During the initial climb phase after departing from Terney Airfield, the aircraft type experienced a significant increase in its angle of attack while at an altitude of approximately 30 meters. The flight path transitioned into a nose-up attitude, followed by a left bank. This maneuver led to an aerodynamic stall, causing the plane to descend into a potato field where it impacted the ground and caught fire.
The accident resulted in 10 fatalities among the occupants. Additionally, the captain and five passengers sustained injuries during the impact.
Findings
Investigations into the crash identified critical errors regarding flight preparation and weight management. The aircraft was operating with a total mass that exceeded its maximum takeoff weight by 449 kilograms. Furthermore, the center of gravity was positioned outside of the permitted operational envelope, specifically too far toward the rear of the aircraft. These improper weight and balance configurations directly caused the excessive angle of attack during the climb, leading to the stall and subsequent crash.
