What happened

During the nighttime portion of the journey, the aircraft collided with the slope of Mt Kafinda, which has an elevation of 3,100 meters. The impact occurred approximately 25 km south of Ulimba, near Uvira. The wreckage was subsequently located within a region characterized by wooded and hilly terrain.
