What happened
A twin-engine aircraft departed from San Juan-Luis Muñoz Marín (Isla Verde) Airport in Puerto Rico, destined for Punta Cana. The flight was operating as a positioning mission for Air Europa, transporting a total of 13 people, including two pilots, one flight attendant, and 10 crew members.
After a routine flight, the aircraft performed an approach and landed on runway 08. During the landing roll, approximately 1,500 feet from the start of the runway, the aircraft began to deviate toward the left. The plane executed a 45-degree turn, which caused it to exit the runway surface and enter a nearby wooded area. Upon leaving the paved surface, the aircraft caught fire and was subsequently destroyed.
Findings
All 13 occupants of the aircraft managed to evacuate the wreckage without life-threatening injuries. While the majority of the crew and passengers escaped unharmed, two passengers sustained slight injuries during the incident. The primary factor in the accident was the aircraft deviating from the runway centerline during the landing roll.
