What happened
On the morning of the accident, a twin-engine aircraft departed from Chandigarh Airport at 08:50 local time, bound for Kulu-Bhuntar. The flight was carrying a total of eleven people, consisting of three crew members and eight passengers.
During the cruise phase of the flight, the aircraft encountered reduced visibility caused by the presence of cumulus clouds. While navigating through these conditions, the plane made contact with trees and rock formations. The impact occurred on a mountain slope within the Kamrunag Mountain Range, situated approximately 18.5 km southeast of Sundar Nagar and roughly 50 km south of the destination airport.
The collision resulted in the total destruction of the twin-engine aircraft. There were no survivors, as all 11 occupants were killed in the crash.
