What happened
A private flight traveling from Lincoln-Estancia La Nueva Airport to Buenos Aires-Aeroparque-Jorge Newbury Airport ended in a fatal accident near the Nordelta residential area. The BE 300 was carrying a pilot and one passenger when the flight encountered critical difficulties during the descent phase.
While attempting to intercept the Instrument Landing System (ILS) for runway 13, the pilot was unable to establish the correct approach path. The aircraft was traveling at an excessive speed of 260 knots and maintaining a descent angle that was too steep. Due to these high-speed conditions, the crew could not properly configure the aircraft's flaps for landing as required by the manufacturer's flight manual.
During the maneuver, the aircraft completed a left turn at 228 knots and descended below the established glide path. As the pilot initiated a subsequent right turn, the aircraft experienced a loss of control. The plane entered a dive and struck two houses located approximately 26 km northwest of the destination airport. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft and both residences. There were two fatalities among the occupants of the aircraft.
Findings
The investigation indicates that the pilot was unable to maintain the necessary approach parameters due to excessive airspeed and an improper descent angle, which prevented the necessary configuration of the aircraft for a stabilized approach.
