What happened
A twin-engine aircraft departed from Mexico City-Felipe Ángeles Airport at 10:18 local time, bound for Dallas-Love Field Airport. The flight was scheduled to last approximately 4 hours and 23 minutes, with a total of three people on board.
During the descent toward the destination, the aircraft experienced a critical mechanical failure. The right engine ceased functioning, and the left engine failed shortly thereafter. In response to the loss of power, the crew lowered the aircraft's altitude to seek an immediate landing site. The pilot attempted an emergency touchdown in a corn field situated roughly 31 km southeast of Dallas-Love Field Airport.
Upon impact, the aircraft's landing gear remained extended. The plane traveled several dozen meters across the field before striking a concrete road. The collision with the roadway caused the undercarriage to be sheared off from the airframe. Following this impact, the aircraft slid an additional 150 meters before coming to a complete stop.
Findings
All three occupants of the twin engine airplane were successfully rescued from the wreckage. Among the passengers and crew, there were two injuries, one of which was classified as serious. The primary factor in the accident was the sequential failure of both engines during the descent phase.
