What happened

A local flight departing from Jundiaí-Comandante Rolim Adolfo Amaro Airport ended in a fatal accident when the pilot experienced a sudden loss of engine power. The flight, which was being operated by a single occupant, departed from runway 36. Shortly after the takeoff phase, the pilot notified air traffic control that the engine was no longer producing sufficient power to sustain a safe altitude.

In response to the emergency, the pilot was granted clearance to perform an immediate return to the airport. The aircraft completed a circuit pattern; however, during the final approach to runway 18, the pilot lost control of the aircraft. The plane impacted the ground approximately 180 meters before reaching the runway threshold. The impact caused the aircraft to flip upside down and subsequently catch fire. The engine failure resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft and the death of the pilot.
