What happened
During the takeoff roll from runway 35 at Bom Futuro Airport, a twin engine airplane entered its initial climb phase. Shortly after leaving the runway, the aircraft experienced a left-side roll and began to lose altitude. The left wing of the aircraft made contact with the apron surface, causing the landing gear to be ripped from the airframe.
Following the impact with the ground, the aircraft slid several dozen meters across the airfield. The sequence ended when the plane struck a hangar that was currently under construction. The collision triggered a post-crash fire that consumed the wreckage. The accident resulted in two fatalities, involving the pilot and a person on the ground, while two passengers sustained injuries.
Findings
- The aircraft experienced a significant roll to the left during the climb.
- The impact with the apron caused the separation of the undercarriage.
- The crash was finalized by a collision with a construction site structure and subsequent fire.
