What happened

During a bombing mission targeting the Namsi Airfield, an aircraft was intercepted and struck by a Soviet MiG-15. Following the engagement, the plane crashed into the Yellow Sea, approximately 10 km to the west of Nampo.

Of the personnel on board, one crew member was successfully rescued from the wreckage. Five other individuals were captured and held as prisoners of war. The remaining seven occupants are presumed deceased, as no evidence or remains were ever recovered following the crash.
