An aircraft crashed and exploded northwest of Castle Air Force Base during its initial climb, resulting in no survivors among the crew.

What happened

During a departure from Castle Air Force Base, an aircraft experienced significant mechanical failures while in the climbing phase of flight. The incident occurred approximately seven miles northwest of the airfield, in the vicinity of Cressey. Following the onset of these technical difficulties, the aircraft impacted the ground, resulting in a large-scale explosion.

All ten crew members on board were killed in the accident. There were no survivors reported from the wreckage.

Preliminary details indicate that the crash was precipitated by serious technical issues occurring shortly after the aircraft departed the runway.
