What happened
On a flight traveling from Kato to Mahdia, a twin engine aircraft crashed into a forested area near Mt Ebini. The flight was being operated for a public works organization and was carrying a total of three people, including two pilots and one passenger.
As the flight crew was performing the approach to the destination runway, they encountered weather conditions that were described as marginal. During this phase of the flight, the aircraft impacted the slope of Mt Ebini, approximately 9 km before reaching the runway. The impact occurred in a heavily wooded region.
